Bachelor of Science, Biomedical Sciences

Why the Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences program?

The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences Program provides a science foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions. Students are immersed in a structured comprehensive curriculum designed for preparation for Health professional careers. Our students graduate with the scientific knowledge and intellectual abilities to pursue careers or pursue postgraduate education in the health professions. This is achieved by offering courses, laboratory work and research opportunities that develop fundamental problem-solving criteria, critical thinking, writing, and communication skills.

By attending the BSBMS program at º£½ÇÉçÇø, students will be exposed to a thorough biomedical sciences curriculum from master’s and doctoral level instructors in a small classroom setting. They will have the opportunity to have personalized academic advising and career exploration, on-site tutoring, interview preparation, mentored research, shadowing opportunities, and discounted admissions exam materials.

Research Opportunities

Students will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects. Each student participant will be working with a faculty mentor with special expertise and interests matched, as closely as possible, to the student’s research interests and career goals.

Research Opportunities are available in:

  • Translational
  • Clinical
  • Community Based Research

Students will either assist the faculty member in an ongoing research project or work collaboratively with the mentor in designing a new project of mutual interest.
