Welcome to the Office of Research Education in the College of Medicine. Our mission is to support and enhance the research endeavors of medical students, residents, and junior faculty by serving as a central hub for information and referrals. We are committed to fostering precision research education, ensuring that our trainees receive the most relevant and tailored research guidance.
We aim to develop a diverse community of medical researchers who integrate their scientific, clinical, and leadership skills to promote human health. While our office does not currently provide formal training programs, we are dedicated to offering support and resources on an as-needed basis.
Key services of the Office of Research Education include:
- Information and Referral: Acting as a central resource for research-related information. We provide guidance and connect trainees with relevant opportunities, mentors, and resources within the institution and beyond.
- Support and Resources: Our office maintains a comprehensive database of research faculty, research questions, mentor profiles, research abstracts, research protocol templates, and transparency guidelines for the responsible conduct of research. We are committed to supporting the academic and professional growth of our trainees through personalized assistance.
- Precision Research Education: We emphasize precision in research education by tailoring our resources and support to meet the unique needs of each trainee. This approach ensures that trainees receive the most relevant and impactful guidance for their specific research interests and career goals.
- Training on Demand: Facilitating training and development opportunities based on specific needs. We coordinate with experts to provide tailored training sessions to help trainees acquire essential research competencies.
