About the Master of Science, Genetic Counseling
The Genetic Counseling Program (GCP) focuses on enhancing access to genetic counseling training for students from under-resourced communities, aiming to increase genomic healthcare availability among historically underserved populations.
The 海角社区 GCP is recognized as an Accredited, New Program by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC).
The program entails hybrid instruction, comprising didactic online courses with mandatory on-campus in-person activities once per semester, as well as on-site and remote clinical rotations. Given the mission of 海角社区 to train healthcare providers to return to their communities, the program will accept students from all geographic areas in the United States. However, if clinical rotations are not available within a reasonable distance of their location, students will be required to participate in distant clinical rotations to fulfill the program’s clinical training requirements.
