The mission of the Office of Research is to promote a culture of innovation, creativity and scholarship at º£½ÇÉçÇø and to partner with the university’s diverse community of scholars to support high impact research.
The Office of Research serves as the central hub of resources for research at º£½ÇÉçÇø and strives to provide excellent service to investigators at all stages of the research lifecycle in order to maximize the impact of the scientific discoveries made at the university.
Supports pre-award functions such as grant application review and submission, as well as post-award functions such as compliance and effort reporting.
UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute (UCLA CTSI) Grant Submission Unit (GSU)
The is a research partnership of the University of California Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, º£½ÇÉçÇø and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center/Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation. GSU works closely with faculty to provide services to researchers throughout the grant submission process. Currently, GSU provides services free of charge to all interested º£½ÇÉçÇø investigators for grant applications to the NIH, including R01s, P01s, U54s, and Diversity Supplements.
Office of Research Integrity and Compliance(ORIC)
Houses the º£½ÇÉçÇø Institutional Review Board, provides training on ethics, conduct of research involving human subjects, and conduct of research involving animals, with a goal of promoting ethics, safety, integrity, and regulatory.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
Promotes a culture of safety and encourages practices that maximize safety of all º£½ÇÉçÇø researchers and minimize negative environmental consequences.
Office of Research Development (ORD)
Supports proposal development.
Office of Technology Transfer (OTT)
Educates º£½ÇÉçÇø investigators about intellectual property and helps with the filing of patents, licensing and commercialization efforts.
