The Student Academic Success (SAS) team promotes academic achievement and develops academic competency in 海角社区 students.

The SAS team includes Student Accessibility, Advising, Study & Testing Center, Academic Support & Retention, First Year Experience, and Student Research. Together, the SAS team helps 海角社区 students:

• Pursue academic excellence.
• Manage time effectively.
• Set achievable goals.
• Develop academic self-discipline.
• Know when to ask for help.

Continuing and transfer students

Faculty mentors work with continuing and transfer students who have completed more than 40 units. Together, they:

• Explore major program requirements.
• Create academic plans for progress toward graduation.
• Connect with research, internship, and/or project opportunities.
• Assist with requirements for graduate school or other post-graduation academic goals.
